Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati
Arrive at Guwahati Airport and transfer to your hotel. In the evening visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple and explore the lively markets around the city. You may also enjoy a relaxing sunset view along the Brahmaputra River.
Day 2: Guwahati to Kaziranga
Drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the one-horned rhinoceros. The scenic drive passes through tea plantations, villages and lush countryside. Upon arrival check into your wildlife resort and relax in the peaceful surroundings.
Day 3: Kaziranga Safari Experience
Early morning enjoy a jeep safari inside Kaziranga National Park with opportunities to spot rhinos, elephants and deer. In the afternoon enjoy another safari exploring different forest ranges. The park is also home to many birds making it a paradise for wildlife lovers.
Day 4: Kaziranga to Shillong
Drive to Shillong while enjoying scenic views of hills and forests along the way. Stop at Umiam Lake to admire the breathtaking landscapes. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening exploring the town.
Day 5: Shillong Exploration
Visit Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls and explore local markets famous for handicrafts and traditional Khasi cuisine. The cool climate and charming atmosphere make Shillong one of the most loved hill stations in North East India.
Day 6: Departure
Drive back to Guwahati and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
