Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong
Arrive at Guwahati Airport where our representative will greet you and begin the scenic drive to Shillong. En route visit the beautiful Umiam Lake where travelers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills and calm waters. Upon arrival check into your hotel and spend the evening exploring Shillong’s lively cafés, markets and pleasant hill station atmosphere.
Day 2: Shillong Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills. Later explore Ward’s Lake and the local markets known for handicrafts and street food. The day offers a perfect introduction to the culture and natural beauty of Meghalaya.
Day 3: Cherrapunjee Excursion
Drive to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on Earth, known for dramatic cliffs and waterfalls. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls and explore the fascinating Mawsmai limestone caves. Enjoy incredible viewpoints overlooking deep valleys and misty mountains.
Day 4: Mawlynnong & Dawki
Visit Mawlynnong village, famous as the cleanest village in Asia and known for its eco-friendly lifestyle. Explore the Living Root Bridge and bamboo skywalk before continuing to Dawki River. Enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear river where the water is so transparent that boats appear to float in air.
Day 5: Return to Guwahati
Drive back to Guwahati enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Visit the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India. Spend the evening relaxing or exploring the Brahmaputra riverfront area.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey. Carry beautiful memories of Meghalaya’s waterfalls, mountains and unique villages.
